Charlie e Anna são os dois melhores amigos de Gavin. Eles prometem ajudá-lo a morrer quando sua doença terminal tiver chegado à reta final. Porém, a atitude se mostra mais difícil do que parecia quando nem mesmo doses maciças de morfina são suficientes e eles têm que apelar para um método mais drástico.
